FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE - Police in one midstate city have turned to a new technology to cut down on crime, but not everyone is happy.
Franklin police can now scan and record the license numbers of cars.
The new technology was created to help identify stolen cars and those cars wanted by police.
The technology also creates a record of where drivers have been.
At the same time, some people have said the new technology goes too far - calling it an invasion of their privacy.
